Meet the Staff - John Fling
"I grew up in Malibu and spent
most of my free time riding horses
and surfing. My mentor, the late,
great, Dr. Weden Humphrey,
roped me into his truck at the age
of 16—I’ve been on the road ever
since, helping our equine friends."
I received my bachelors degree
from Loyola University & studied
veterinary medicine at UC Davis,
graduating in 1982. After graduation, I proceeded straight
into private practice in Temecula, CA obtaining a position
with the busiest reproduction group practice in the state. In
1989 I ventured up to the northern end of Los Angeles
County and started my own ambulatory practice concentrating
on lameness and reproduction. Recently, I spent two
years in the Austin Texas area working in a performance
horse practice.
My main interest involves advanced diagnostic imaging as it
relates to musculoskeletal issues in the equine. I also have
extensive experience in equine reproduction.
I am very excited about working with Dr Russ, Jan, and all
the crew at Peninsula Equine. I look forward to seeing all of
our clients and their horses, and providing the best service
possible.
