Russ Peterson, DVM, MS
I grew up in Santa Barbara and it may not come as any surprise that I became involved in sailing, both teaching & competing in open ocean racing.

John Fling, DVM
I grew up in Malibu and spent most of my free time riding horses and surfing. My mentor, the late, great, Dr. Weden Humphrey, roped me into his truck at the age of 16 - I've been on the road ever since, helping our equine friends.

Matt Randall, DVM
I grew up in Bridger, Montana in a small ranching community where my dad, Dr. Ray Randall, was and is still the only vet for 30 miles!   My mother, an AQHA and NRHA judge trained horses so getting into showing along with my older sister Erin, was something that just was a natural thing to do.

Sinead Devine, DVM
I was born in Drogheda, Ireland just 6,000 miles away from the Emerald Isle!   Summers spend on my Uncle's farm prompted my early love of animals and my decision to become a vet.

Sarah Currie, DVM
I went to vet school at Oklahoma State University and joined the Pen Eq team in July of ’07. I love living in northern California because it’s such a beautiful area and there are so many things to do here. Also, people here really enjoy their horses and take excellent care of them.

Daizie Labelle-Yuk, DVM
I was born in Sturgeon Falls, a small francophone community 4 hours north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I spent half my childhood there and the other half on an Arabian breeding farm in eastern Ontario, where I quickly learned that riding the closest horse bareback to catch a mare at the other end of the ranch was much cleverer, and quicker, than walking there in the mud or snow!

Janet Peterson, Hospital Administrator
I grew up locally in Palo Alto and began my lifelong relationship with horses as a child right here at Webb Ranch. I used to hang out all day long catching rides and being with the horses.

Margaux Reitsma, Technician
Born in Michigan, I grew up in the Bay Area.   As a licensed CA Paramedic I worked in Solan Co., San Joaquin Co., Contra Costa Co. as a field medic for 10 years.   I've also been a veterinary tech for large and small animals over the past 20 years.

Judi Pheil, Technician
Born in San Francisco, I attended Lowell Highand City College receiving an AS in Medical Assisting.   For over 10 years I worked for 4 Orthopedic Surgeons in San Francisco but decided to move from human medicine to the horse world.

Born in NYC, I grew up in New Jersey.   Begged for a pony but my parents wouldn't give in so I mucked stalls from the age of 10 to work off riding lessons.    After college I went to work on Wall Street.

Juan Martinez, Maintenance
I was born in Jumiltepec Mexico and have 6 sisters and 3 brothers. I went to High School and studied electronics so I could fix televisions and radios. When I came to Peninsula Equine I began fixing things and now I'm helping fix things with four legs!

Hector Martinez, Maintenance
Born in Jumiltepec Mexico, I have 6 sisters and 3 brothers (one is Juan who works here too.)   This past summer I was very happy to get my Visa so I could come to work in California with my brother.   I am working hard to h'abla Ingles... learn English.

Careena Laney, Technician
Born in San Jose, CA. I have been obsessed with horses since I was a little girl. I talked my mom into putting me in riding lessons at Garrod Farm's at a very young age. Since then I have been trying to save every horse in the world one at a time.

Kristen Brown
I was born in Southern California and moved north to attend UC Davis. I recently graduated with a major in animal science, and found Peninsula Equine through friends that worked at the Training Center.

Marion Prieto, Office Administrator
Born in San Francisco, went to University of Southern California where I studied dentistry. I have raised two wonderful daughters Jill & Claire who were actively involved in show jumping & equitation.

Born and raised just 15 miles north of Portola Valley...loved the area and didn't want to leave.   While going to college I became a working student for Flying Tails Farms at the Portola Valley Training Center.
