Meet the Staff - Careena Laney, Technician
Born in San Jose, CA. I have been obsessed with horses since I was a little girl. I talked my mom into putting me in riding lessons at Garrod Farm's at a very young age. Since then I have been trying to save every horse in the world one at a time. I currently own 8 (could be more..It's hard to tell). I have ridden many disciplines but have narrowed it down to reining and polo.
As if the horses were not enough, I like to keep my self busy. Most importantly I am a mom. I have a wonderful six year old boy (also an avid rider). I am a Mounted Deputy Sheriff for the San Francisco Sheriff's Office. I own Portola Valley Horse Transportation and do most of the emergency hauls for the clinic. But of all these things my favorite is working for the clinic. I only work a few hours a week but wish I could fit in more. It is such an amazing experience to meet and help all the wonderful horses and people that we have in this area.
