Meet the Staff - Anna Bavor, Technician
Growing up in Los Altos Hills, California, I wanted to be an Olympic swimmer, a professional soccer player, or a country singer. Then, I fell in love with horses and my future plans changed dramatically!
I began riding and showing Hunter/Jumpers at eight years old and eventually switched to reining. While attending the Universities of California at Santa Cruz and Davis, I competed in rodeo queen competitions and represented the Driscoll Ranch, Livermore and Rowell Ranch rodeos.
In January 2008, I moved to Nevada and represented the Silver State as Miss Rodeo Nevada 2008. Throughout the year, I traveled all over our country, from California to Florida, promoting our Western heritage and the great tradition of rodeo. In December of 2008, I represented the state of Nevada at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada where I won the Scholarship Award.
In April 2009, I returned to UC Davis and graduated in June with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. Shortly after graduation, I found my dream job of being a large animal vet tech. Every day is filled with the satisfaction of helping horses and their owners.
When I have free time, I enjoy riding my two American Quarter Horses, “Norman” and “Gimondo” singing, SCUBA diving, traveling, cooking, playing with my black lab, “Daphne” and being the Driscoll Ranches Rodeo Queen and Princess Coordinator.
