With Sinead settled in Ireland, we had a very large hole to fill for our Peneq clients. We are excited to introduce two amazing new vets to you!
Dr. Amanda Hedges
You may recognize Dr. Amanda, as she previously spent a year as an intern veterinarian at Peninsula Equine. We are thrilled to announce she is back! Dr. Amanda graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine before coming to Peneq as an intern veterinarian to further her education in Equine Sports Medicine, emergency medicine, and geriatric care. To complement her training, she is also certified in Equine Acupuncture. After her intern year, Dr. Amanda moved to Sonoma Valley, working in another full service practice offering elite sports medicine as well as complete equine health care. Dr. Amanda’s interest include advanced dentistry, geriatric care, and acupuncture. We are thrilled to have her back!
Dr. Alicia Yocom
We are incredibly lucky to also be adding Dr. Alicia Yocom to our team. Dr. Alicia grew up riding in the hunter jumper world on the San Francisco Peninsula and graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completing her degree, Dr. Alicia completed an intensive Sports Medicine internship at a prestigious hospital in the heart of Virginia sport horse country. With a passionate focus on furthering her sports medicine skills, Dr. Alicia continued her training at Colorado State School of Veterinary Medicine in the Sports Medicine department. After completion of another grueling internship, Dr. Alicia then stayed on staff at Colorado State, working under Dr. Chris Kawcak, performing advanced imaging for the sport horse population the institution services. We are excited to have Dr. Alicia here to continue the elite level of care offered to our Peninsula Equine clients!
