Rediscovering her love of horses during her graduate school years, Leena was inspired to continue pursuing work within the equine field. Weekly riding lessons quickly evolved to horsemanship lessons and it wasn’t long before she earned positions teaching beginner to intermediate level riding lessons as well as managing private and school barns in Maryland. She moved to California in early 2019, bringing along her dog, 2 cats and horse. She enjoys trail rides on her horse, taking pictures of her cats, and teaching her old dog new tricks.
A California native, Mikaela ventured to New England where, driven by her lifelong passion for horses, she recently earned her degree in equine science from the University of New Hampshire. Mikaela is excited to be back in California and equally excited to be working as a part of the team here at Penisula Equine.
An award winning competitive rider, Mikaela loves nothing quite so much as being on horseback. She also enjoys cooking, travel and any opportunity to spend time with family. She hopes to soon return to school to earn her RVT.
Sherri grew up on a farm in Ohio, where as a child she was fortunate enough to be able to ride her parent’s horses. After receiving her degree in accounting and finance as well as becoming certified as a CPA, Sherri married, had 2 beautiful children, and moved to Woodside in 1996. She joined the Peninsula Equine team in 2009.
When not working, Sherri loves playing ultimate frisbee, and she can be found every year at Burning Man in their family art car, the Biolumiescent Slug.
