Peninsula Equine Medical Center is one of a number of equine facilities which have developed a specialized program designed to give graduate equine veterinarians advanced training.

This progressive multi-doctor equine hospital, providing both ambulatory and 24-hour surgical, referral and emergency care, is offering an internship position. The internship offers a base salary, medical benefits and housing. Candidate will gain experience and knowledge through participation in elective and emergency surgeries, ICU care, ambulatory work and overall clinic responsibilities. Equine experience, teamwork and dedication are a must.

Externships

The externship program is open to third and fourth year veterinary medical students on an equine track. The externship is available year round, however we encourage externs to stay at least one week. Externs will gain experience with medical and surgical procedures as well as emergency cases. Externs also spend time out on ambulatory calls with the veterinarian.
