IMPORTANT Changes to NSAID Rules for Showing with the USEF

As quoted from the USEF, "Beginning April, 1, 2010, anyone administering two NSAIDs to a horse within five days prior to participating at a USEF-licensed competition will be required to complete and file a NSAID Disclosure Form with the USEF Steward/Technical Delegate or their Designated Competition Office Representative". Please click here or call Peninsula Equine to find out how this will effect you in the future!

Equinosis Machine Creating Buzz on the Chronicle of the Horse Website

equinosis machine

Peninsula Equine is proud to be one of only a handful of clinics in the country to have an Equinosis machine. This machine, sometimes referred to as the Lameness Locator, uses a group of accelerometers and gyroscopes to graph your horse's gait and therefore aide the clinician's eye by adding objective data to the lameness examination. We can now actually quantify your horse's lameness!

The Chronicle of the Horse has even taken interest, publishing an opinion article now available online. Want to read their article??? Click here!

Call our office today to have a lameness exam performed by one of our veterinarians and ask about our Equinosis machine!

June 2010

We are now creating a database of digital images of your horse. Why is this important?? Because a new online version of the Coggins forms is being developed that will use your horse's image instead of the standard drawings! And the best part is that the processing time of a standard Coggins will be slashed! So at your next appointment, be sure to have your horse ready for their close-up. Be the first one ready when the online Coggins become available soon!!!
