Special Issue: Welcome Dr. Bart Halsberghe
I was Born in Kortrijk, Belgium, where I spent most of my youth. It was at an early age that I was introduced into the world of horses. It soon became a passion, a passion I took over from my mother. I spent most of my weekends and vacations in the equestrian centre, where I started breaking and training horses for eventing. (on the picture you see me and my horse “Nikay”, she is seventeen and semi-retired, I broke her as a 3 year old and did a lot of three day events with her).
I quickly knew I wanted to become an equine veterinarian. I went to vet school at the university of Ghent, Belgium ...
